What is this film? Please help?

I watched it a couple of years ago. It looks like an animation or even
stop motion. Has shadow figures and it depicts a crew aboard a ship.
Among them is a doctor and the protagonist. the doctor is harbouring a
monster which only feeds on blood and as the monster grows the doctor
eventually starts feeding it the crewsman.

What is it? ><
