I want to start playing the guitar?

Okay, so me and my friend were talking and we want to start doing
Panic! at the Disco covers. She is a good singer, and she will also
play piano, and she said she has some guitars and that I could
probably use one. I'm going to ask my mom if I could get guitar
lessons. Is playing the guitar hard? (acoustic) I know it will take
hours of playing each day to learn. But like it looks hard to like
learn where your fingers go and stuff? Any advice? Thanks
